Versions

Digi-Mail Lite is our basic, pay-as-you-go service. It doesn’t use templates – you just upload your PDF letter and select the address. Lite could be used by an individual, to send out wedding invitations or a Christmas letter. But mostly it’s used by small businesses and organisations who want to send letters, reminders or information to their customer base or sales prospects.

Digi-Mail Pro is billed monthly. It archives for longer and uses templates for repeated types of communications. Pro is usually used by businesses and organisations that send higher volumes of printed communications to their customer databases or would like to send letters via email.

Digi-Mail Enterprise and Digi-Mail Pro are essentially the same software with identical user interfaces and features. However, Enterprise is a tailored solution offering these benefits:
  • Software is customised and configured to meet your business needs, such as reporting types, merging of documents to meet bulk postage or another specific requirement.
  • Processing is handled individually, so you can use your own envelopes, select custom cut-off times for lodgement and access other tailored services.


Cost

Digi-Mail Lite is a pay-as-you-go service that’s paid online by credit card. You’ll see the cost of each mail out when you upload your communication. Digi-Mail Pro and Enterprise are on-account services that are invoiced once a month.

On average, a company sending 50 letters a week will save about $550 a year in printing and postage costs. Additionally, your employees will have more time for other income-generating tasks. Use our online calculator to work out the savings.

Usability

Once you’ve been introduced to Digi-Mail with a demonstration, you’ll see that it’s as easy as shopping online. Your Digi-Mail user simply uploads a print-ready PDF, then Digi-Mail does the rest.

With Digi-Mail Lite, you can search using name and delivery address. With Digi-Mail Pro, all data fields are searchable, including name, address, customer number, invoice number, account number and any other identifiers you use. You can also add a custom data field for anything you might want to search on.

Types of mailing

Digi-Mail allows you to send any letter or mailer that prints onto A4 paper. Print can be single or double-sided, black and white or full colour. We use standard DLE envelopes with a printed return address.

Yes! With Digi-Mail Pro you can add a fact sheet, map or any other type of A4 insert. Commonly used inserts can be uploaded into a library to make this easy.

Database

You don’t need to build a database with Digi-Mail. Mail-merge details are included in the file you upload.

Volume

There’s no minimum or maximum. Digi-Mail can cost-effectively send one or 100,000 communications. Any quantity is possible.

Post providers

We post your communications anywhere in New Zealand using DX Mail or NZ Post. It’s all included in the price.

Email

Yes, the Digi-Mail Pro version can send your communications by email, instead of printing and posting. You simply need an email address for every customer in your database.

Reporting

Digi-Mail Lite has basic reporting functions, such as previous payments made. Digi-Mail Pro and Enterprise offer more in-depth reporting, such as users report, audit report, billing report and communications report.

Searching and Archiving

With Digi-Mail Lite, you can search using name and delivery address. With Digi-Mail Pro, all data fields are searchable, including name, address, customer number, invoice number, account number and any other identifiers you use. You can also add a custom data field for anything you might want to search on.

Digi-Mail Lite archives every mailer you send for 90 days. Digi-Mail Pro archives for five years. You can use the search function to find a previously sent letter, to view or download.

Errors & Troubleshooting

If you lodge a Digi-Mail mail run and something’s not right, an error tab will appear with a list of documents and the issues.

Digi-Mail is easy to use, but if a user gets stuck we offer a real-person helpdesk.

Approvals and access

With Digi-Mail Pro and Enterprise you can add an approval step, so that each mail-out has to receive a final check by a senior person before it is submitted.

Digi-Mail Pro offers multifactor authentication, to ensure only approved users can login. Additionally, you can nominate an ‘organisation admin’ person who can add and delete users as needed.
